Hiiiii & welcome! I’m Heather and the owner of A Rose in May, and this is my husband Ben, and our red headed rainbow babies Emma Rose and Dawson Luke! We are from Oklahoma! My love for sewing has grown even more since having babies and I wanted to offer affordable small shop prices! A Rose in May is named in honor of our first daughter, Lyla Rose, who was born May 1, 2020 and was already in the arms of Jesus! She had a rare disorder called Turner Syndrome. We gave our sweet Emma her big sisters middle name so that she would always be with her! 💞

The name is super special to me! So you know that saying “April showers bring May flowers” Well in April 2020, we were told the worst news ever. Lyla’s (our first daughter) diagnosis. & then on April 30th at our ultrasound we discovered she no longer had a heartbeat. She was born on May 1, 2020 So April showers (our storm if you will) brought a May flower.. our Lyla Rose that was born in the arms of Jesus! “A Rose in May”
